| There are a number of organisations that provide short courses relevant to the water industry. A list of some of the providers and a brief description of the courses they offer is provided below. |

Water Industry Operators Association |
As well as running annual operator conferences in Queensland, NSW and
Victoria WIOA provides seminars and courses on topics such as: • water quality and distribution systems management • media filter assessment and optimisation • activated carbon use in water treatment • chemical dosing, coagulation, flocculation, and clarification. |
Australian Water Association

AWA holds an annual conference, OzWater for water industry professionals as well as state-specific conferences. AWA also offers other short courses on sustainability, water industry essentials and climate change. |
International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICEWaRM)
|
Short courses offered by ICE Warm include; Australian Water Industry Essentials, Hydraulics and hydrology for non-engineers, policy and governance, river and floodplain monitoring, water in coal mines, coal seam gas and water, climate change adaptation. |
Smart Water Research Centre
|
The Smart Water Research Centre offers a university-accredited week long course in activated sludge and biological nutrient reduction. The Centre also offers a course in communicating water science and technology. |
Sustainable Resources Industry Training |
SRIT offer a number of different courses Australia wide on groundwater, surface water and renewable energy. |
Water by Design |
Water by Design have a range of training courses and seminars that
cover aspects of best practice water sensitive urban design. Courses
include: • Introduction to water sensitive urban design • Fundamentals of bioretention design • Fundamentals of stormwater wetland design • Construction and establishment of vegetated stormwater systems |
IWES |
IWES provides courses on a variety of water related topics including: • Principles of water treatment • Trade waste and industrial wastewater treatment • Design of biological wastewater treatment plans • Biological nutrient removal • Membrane plant design and operation • Australian Drinking Water Guidelines • Drinking water treatment principles • And several more... |

Streamline learning offer short courses linked to units in the National Water Training package currently focus on CCTV and conduit inspection. |
