The 2011-12 NPR reporting handbook and auditing requirements have been released.

The urban performance reporting indicators and definitions handbook provides detailed definitions for all indicators to be reported for the National Performance Report 2011–12: urban water utilities. The handbook ensures there is consistency in reporting across jurisdictions. There has been virtually no change from the indicators and definitions of last year’s reporting which is good.

The audit requirements for 2011-12 have been significantly revised from those in 2010-11 following a comprehensive review by NWC of their appropriateness and consideration of measures to improve the transparency, consistency, quality and value of NPR audits.
