Sewer Overflows Policy - Release Date 24-Jun-2010: - Sewer Overflow Policy and Supporting Technical Guidelines and the Sewerage Incident Emergency Response Manual. This two part document expands upon the existing Department of the Environment and Resource Management/EPA Guidelines and provides details on steps Service Providers can follow to meet their General Environmental Duty to reduce overflows and resultant environmental impacts. - qldwater and the Water Industry Training Association (see useful links page) shared the costs of 80 sets of the five Water Industry Operators Association (WIOA) technical manuals that have been produced over the past few years. These manuals are useful, well written and highly respected by technical staff in Queensland Service Providers. A boxed set of the five manuals was distributed to a nominated representative in each of qldwater’s members in late 2010.
- The Local Government Association of Queensland maintains a document library, lists of legal advice and other resources relvant to policy creation for its members on its website (see useful links page). LGAQ members may have to be logged in to access some of this information.
- The Local Government Department (see useful links page) maintains a database of all current Local Laws enacted by Local Government.
- The Water Services Association of Australia maintains a large database of templates, examples and policy documents on its website (see useful links page). Members of WSAA may have to be logged in to access some of these resources.
