On Wednesday 21 October 2020 the award winning water sample of Livingstone Shire Council went head to head with winners from other states across Australia in the Ixom 2020 Australia’s Best Tasting Tap Water competition.
Congratulations to TasWater, TRILITY and the operators at the Rossarden WTP on winning this year's national award - we still like Queensland water best!
Hosted by WIOA, the National titles of water tasting featured the following samples:
- NSW/ACT: Port Macquarie Hastings Council
- Queensland: Livingstone Shire Council
- South Australia: SA Water
- Tasmania TasWater: - TRILITY
- Western Australia: Water Corporation
- Victoria:Lower Murray Water
The national event was conducted online using the WIOA Virtual Water platform.
We obviously wanted Queensland to continue its success with some excellent water samples having taken the crown before.
Livingstone took us up on the offer to produce a limited edition brew from their winning water in 2017. Livingstone Lager with a tropical twist of pineapple is where we all want to be. Go Queensland!
